Harvest
Rows of a farm field rising toward a low sun

For small organic farms

You grow it. We'll help you sell it.

Websites, online stores, and marketplace listings for small organic farms. We build it on one proven system, so a good site costs about what a freelancer charges and you're live within 10 business days.

Half up front, and the rest only when you're delighted. We won't take your site live until you're happy with it, and we keep refining until it's right. No "final invoice" surprise, no half-finished site you're stuck with.

A green field under a cloudy sky

Why Harvest

Built for small farms, not agencies

Most farms get one of two things: a cheap site that never sells anything, or a custom build that costs more than a tractor and breaks the first time something needs to change.

We do it differently. Every Harvest site runs on the same tested system, so you get work that usually runs five figures for about what a good freelancer charges. When we improve the template, your site gets the improvement too, with no rebuild and no surprise invoice.

And we know where the money is. A lot of farm marketing work qualifies for state and federal grants, and we help you write the application. We'd rather be the people who found you the money than the people asking for it.

How it works

You farm. We handle the rest.

Most of the work is ours.

  1. 1

    Tell us about your farm

What you grow, who buys it, and where you want to sell. A short call and a form, that's it.

  2. 2

We build your site and store

Usually within 10 business days of getting what we need from you. You review it, we adjust, and it's ready to go live.

  3. 3

You launch, and we help you grow

We keep it running and help you sell more, on your own site and on the marketplaces.

The part everyone else leaves you to figure out

You won't do this alone

Here's where most farms get stuck. Not the growing — the setup. The payment account. The product listings. The shipping settings. The marketplace paperwork. It's the stuff that sits on your to-do list for three months because nobody wants to spend a Tuesday night wrestling with it.

So we don't hand it to you. We sit down with you — on a call or in person — and set it up together, start to finish:

  • Your store, built — your products, photos, and prices, done for you

  • Your payments, connected — on your own account, so the money comes straight to you; we just do the setup with you so you never face it alone

  • Your shipping and tax, configured — for how you actually ship

  • Your marketplace listings, set up — Amazon and Walmart, on the plans that include them

You end up with everything working and everything in your name. You just won't have had to become a website person to get there.

Experience

Big-company know-how, on a small farm's side

Harvest was founded by a former executive at The Coca-Cola Company. That work was food product design and regulatory compliance, plus the marketing and go-to-market that gets a product onto shelves across the country.

It's the same playbook the big brands use, sized down for a farm like yours. You get the thinking that usually costs a corporate salary, pointed at selling your eggs, your honey, and your produce.

  • Food product design
  • Regulatory compliance
  • Marketing
  • Go-to-market strategy

Proof it works

Three websites and an Amazon operation, for one Wisconsin farm

Doudlah Farms has been farming outside Evansville since 1952. We built their storefront for shoppers, a wholesale site that handles their pricing and shipping rules, and a third site for their spin-off brand. All three take payments and ship orders.

Then we took on Amazon. That meant rewriting the listings and running the advertising, and it also meant building the inventory planning and shipping process that keeps a catalog that size in stock.

They got to number one in their category by May 2025, and we're still running the account today, at about $5,000 a day.

“We never imagined selling black beans online at $19 a pound, and now we're shipping full pallets.”

These figures are from the Amazon side of that work. They cover January 2023 to May 2025, and they’re that client’s results. Yours will depend on your products, your pricing, and your market.

Pricing

Priced for a small farm

Start with a one-time build. Add a monthly plan when you're ready to grow. A lot of this can be paid for with grant funding, and we help you apply.

A custom build like this runs $20,000 to $40,000. A cheap freelancer gives you a site that never sells. Here's what we charge.

The risk is ours, not yours

You've probably been burned before, by a website person who took the money and left you with something half-built that never sold anything. So here's how we make sure that isn't you:

  • Half up front, the rest only when you're delighted. You pay 50% to get started, and the balance isn't due until you approve the site. We don't ask for approval until you're delighted with it, and we don't consider the job done until you do.
  • 30-day money-back on any monthly plan. Try it for a month. If it isn't working for you, you get that month back, no argument.
  • The build is yours either way. Whatever we build, you keep. You're never renting your own website.

We can offer this because we've done the work before. Doudlah Farms started with one site and kept coming back, for two more sites and their whole Amazon operation. You shouldn't have to take our word for it though, so the promise stands either way.

Questions

Common questions

Do I need to be technical?

No. You send us your photos and words, and we handle the building. Updating prices or posts later is about as hard as writing an email, and we can do those for you if you'd rather.

How long does it take?

Once we have what we need from you, we take most sites live within 10 business days, so about two weeks. Marketplace listings can follow shortly after. Get live before your season, not during it — if you're selling this season, the time to start is now.

What if I want changes?

While we're building, we refine the site together until you're happy with it. Once it's live, small updates are part of your monthly plan, and if you later want something bigger — a new section, a whole additional page — we'll quote that separately, so you always know the price first.

What if I already sell on Shopify?

That's fine. We can build on your existing Shopify, or move you if it makes sense. You won't lose your store.

How do I get paid?

The money from your sales goes straight into your own account — we never touch it. The one piece of setup that's yours is a payment account (it's how card payments reach your bank), and we don't leave you to figure that out alone: we sit down with you and get it connected, start to finish. After that, your sales deposit directly to you, and you can see every order.

How does the growth share work?

On the Grow and Scale plans we take a small percentage of the online sales we help create, marketplaces included. It only applies to growth we drive, and you can buy out of it later. We'll walk you through the exact numbers in your proposal.

Can I cancel?

Monthly plans run on a six-month minimum, then month to month. The one-time builds are yours to keep either way.

Can you help with grant funding?

Yes, and it's one of the best things we do. A lot of farm marketing work qualifies for state and federal grants, and we help you write the application. Those programs run on fixed application windows, so if a deadline is coming up, starting now can be the difference between this year's funding and next year's — ask us what's open.
